HVW8 Berlin
HVW8 Berlin is the little sister of HVW8 Gallery founded in Los Angeles in 2006, is a gallery dedicated to art, music, and design. Known for its underground LA roots, it has showcased artists like Parra, Geoff McFetridge, and Kilo Kish, alongside performances from Snoop Dogg, RZA, and Kali Uchis.
As a Gallery Assistant, I supported the curator with installation and promotion, focusing on graphic design and content creation.
I worked on two notable exhibitions who include:
-
CITY OF QUARTZ: Showcased contemporary views of Los Angeles through the works of Alima Lee, Steven Traylor, Alfonso Gonzalez Jr., and Nikkolos Mohammed, each presenting poetic visions of the city.
-
AGAINST THE WALL: Featured Berlin-based artists Tommy Camerno, Lexia Hachtmann, and Navot Miller, exploring the positioning of objects to signify coexisting worlds.
Our promotional strategy involved ads, social media, website content, and packaging design, maintaining the gallery's aesthetic while adding a cooler, edgier touch. The campaign's success reinforced HVW8 Berlin's reputation as a cutting-edge art space.
